My little man is ONE!
Thanks to those that wished Zachary a Happy First Birthday, it meant so much especially as I was SOO sick! We are having a small celebration this weekend seeing I was sick on his actual birthday. I'll post some pics after the weekend.
Tonight we had the annual street trick or treating. I put up a big spider on the gate and a skeleton on the front door. Aaron jumped out and scared the kids when they came to the door. There were 25 kids. I had Zach in cat ears - I'll post a piccie of that too when I download them.
I'm finally starting to improve. My poor mum has caught the virus I had and is the sickest she has ever been. Soo sick she may not make it to Zach's party which is a shame, but I understand how sick she is.

Oct 07 - 3 days until Zach is ONE!
Finally a "real" post. I was thinking about the Arias being on tonight. My waters broke during last years Arias... that seems so long ago...
We have been having such a tough time. Zach had conjunctivitis so we had to juggle that and work and my work trip to Townsville. Since coming back the whole family has had a shocking flu, plus to top it off I was hospitalised on Monday with a very nasty gastro bug.
They also did blood tests and discovered I had next to no iron in my system. Aaron has had the flu and tonsilitis too but had to go away to the Ediburgh Air Show in Adelaide this weekend.
Zach and I are still both very sick today. I still have a fever, am dizzy, coughing and have lost my voice... death warmed up really. I hope we are better for Zach's birthday with our family.
Work is going well but such a juggle with childcare and illness. We are not really happy with the childcare he is in - just little things to do with inexperience and lack of common sense - not putting bibs on, only using 2 nappies in a day! I hope to have him into another daycare soon. Going back to work and missing out on my days with him is hard enough, without having issues. Thankfully Zachary enjoys going.
The work that seems to come out of my mouth the most at home now is "no" and now get "uh-uh" and head shaking side to side back at me while Zachary continues doing what ever it is he isn't supposed to! He is walking everywhere now, even running! He is so quick, I have to have eyes in the back of my head.
Aaron will only be back for a week and a bit then away for a month. I too have to go away in te first week of Dec for work, so Zach will go to my parents place. That will be his first big holiday without us. We are staying put over christmas and really hope our pool will be finished by then - there have been a few hiccups and it is taking forever. We are hoping to go away as a family in Feb, hopefully to the Whitsundays if we can arrange it. We all so need the time together!
On IVF - after 2 miscarriages and a failed cycle we are taking a break as i'm too run down and exhausted. Maybe we'll be luckier in the new year. Our holiday away will be a good time to unwind before trying again. So that is where we are up to. Not very interesting but just thought i'd let you know why I've been absent. i just get home and am so exhausted. For those that check in on me on fa.cebook thanks, at least you know we are alive and well - or should i say alive and sick!

A tough post
As you will have notced I have been a little absent the last few months. Heading back to full-time work and juggling childcare and the associated sick bubby, plus managing home and balancing time with Aaron and IBO commitments has meant little time for here or other places which i see many of you at now :)

I have also been very quiet on my own fitness plan. Well the reason for all of this is we decided we would try a few rounds of IVF before I headed back into a busy job with the associated stress.
We did 2 frozen cycles (using embryos from Zach's cycle). Both times we had a positive result but miscarried around the 7th week. The next time I did a fully stimulated cycle, needles etc which i was doing around the time of my brother's wedding. We didn't get many eggs fertilise from this. Only 3 in fact, but the one they transferred looked strong and similar to how Zach did from a fresh cycle. Sadly this little one didn't implant, so yet another loss.
We are taking a break now as dealing with Zach's illnesses (he currently has conjunctivitis :( )and work is enough right now. I'm also looking forward to exercising again as this clears my head and being in shape improves my spirit. It will happen if and when it is suppose to.
I just thought it was time I shared why I've been absent. I'm not wanting pity, the time for sadness is past. I'm loving my little miracle and can't believe he is ONE in two weeks! I've been seeing the Aria ads on TV with amazement, thinking it was during them last year when my waters broke!
To think this was me at this time last year:

Back at Work...
Sorry haven't checked in. Have been super tired each night. I sat in a brief yesterday feeling so out of place thinking, GOD, WHAT AM I DOING HERE??????
I had a little sob after dropping Zach at daycare today. He is doing well but I'm finding it hard that I wake him to drive to daycare - he has brekkie there and Aaron picks him up so he is already doing dinner and bath by the time I get home and is in bed by 6:30-7. It breaks my heart I have no time with him, not to mention being soo damn tired. I hope it gets better??!!??

My little man is growing up!
Zach took his first steps today (about 4 of them) while playing with his mummy and daddy. I was so proud I had tears in my eyes!. I'm so glad I got to see it before going back to work. He has been standing unassisted for a while now and of course crawling super fast. He is also walking using his push walker. We can't put him in his walker anymore as he runs and his steps are so big he trips himself up and scrapes the backs of his shoes.
We were playing over by his ball pool and he climbed out and took a ball over by the window sill. He decided he wanted two so turned around to get another and walked back over to the ball pit. When he realised what he was doing he dropped down and let out an excited squeal. I'm so glad Aaron and I were right there being a part of it!
What else is he up to? He loves to play peek-a-boo, He can now touch his toes, nose, ears, mouth, hair, knees, and poke his tongue out when you name the body parts. He is clapping and waving, he can click his tongue, and tips his head to the side to be cute. He also does a flying dive into his ball pool.
Just thought I'd pop in and say HI and let you know all is well. I'm super busy getting organised to go back to work. I won't be able to be on here nearly as much but I'll keep you all posted on how i'm going.
